If You Work in the Wedding Industry…
Whether it’s as a wedding venue, florist, planner, or any other type of wedding vendor, you’re probably already marketing yourself on a number of wedding websites. And why wouldn’t you? Sites like Wedding Wire, The Knot, and Wedding Spot are all great sites with millions of users that have become staples in the wedding professional community. They’ve helped countless wedding professionals be found and, as companies, are truly the titans of the industry.
But what if there was a new way to market your wedding business that didn’t just give you a paid spot on a website; but instead gave you an immersive all-in-one selling tool that not only attracts more business, but also drastically shortens selling time while simultaneously increasing revenue per customer?
“What if there was a way to market your wedding business that didn’t just give you a paid spot on a website…”
Ladies, Gentlemen, Venues and Vendors: I Present to you…. Venvue.
The idea of Venvue was born out of a bottle of wine and a conversation between Alysa and me. I was doing 3D photography and trying to figure out a way to extend my services beyond delivery of the shoot. She was running a wedding venue in Kansas City and was constantly being pulled away from the couples who’s weddings she needed to be focusing on in order to tour couples that were just “shopping around.”
Then, the idea just sort of… clicked! What if the touring of venues could be done online? Better yet, what if customers could see what a venue looks like with different set-ups?! Eureka!
“What if the touring of venues could be done online? Better yet, what if customers could see what a venue looks like with different set-ups?!”
We spent the rest of the night (and bottle) dreaming of what our love-child could offer and researching whether or not something like this already existed… Nothing. We couldn’t believe it! We put together a plan and pounded pavement for awhile, offering 3D tours to venues that we’d list on our site (which we didn’t even have built yet). Eventually, and by beautiful happenstance, we came across a technology that we knew could take Venvue’s offering far beyond the delivery of a conventional virtual tour. That technology was TrueTour, created by Visiting Media based in Portland, OR. TrueTour goes so far beyond the conventional idea of a virtual tour that it’s often hard to describe in laymen’s terms. Basically, it’s a frame that houses ALL of your sales and marketing assets in one place. This includes 3D tours, 360 photos, web links, photos, videos, PDFs, you name it!
“TrueTour goes so far beyond the conventional idea of a virtual tour…”
We reached out to Visiting Media right away, told them what we were doing, and that we wanted to use their technology to deliver the future of the wedding industry. Within months, we became the only company in the world with rights to resell this amazing first-to-market technology, and BOOM! Venvue was born!
Use Your Virtual Portfolio Anywhere!
The best part about your TrueTour is that it doesn’t just go on Venvue. It’s also a sales and marketing tool that you can use anywhere you want. Put it on your website, email it, text it, even give access to it via a QR code that you can put on your business cards!Already have a 3D tour? Put it in there! Don’t have a 3D tour? We’ll create one for you! Have an event coming up that you know will showcase well? Let us know and we’ll come take HD 360 shots that go right into your TrueTour! Remodeling? We’ll re-shoot your space for free! Even if you take the listing on Venvue out of the equation, your TrueTour is still the best dollar for dollar sales and marketing asset you can invest in, bar none.
“The best dollar for dollar sales and marketing asset you can invest in, bar none.”
What does it cost to be on Venvue, you ask?
Actually, we wanted to change the way that was done too…We don’t charge for a spot on our site! As wedding vendors, we have a disdain for websites that force wedding professionals to spend their precious marketing dollars just for higher rankings. So we completely threw that idea to the wayside and created a new way of ranking listings to feature those with the best content.
“As wedding vendors, we have a disdain for websites that force wedding professionals to spend their precious marketing dollars just for higher rankings.”
It Goes Like This:
Every asset you add to your profile has value. The profiles with this highest combined value get listed first! Content like 3D Tours, 360’s, and preferred vendors who also use TrueTour have the highest value, but there’s also ways to increase your ranking simply by integrating the content you already have (more on that in another post).
We think this is better for everyone involved… The users see the listings with the best information and content while venues and vendors get to beef up their sales tool in their efforts to climb, which they can still use anywhere. Win/Win!
It’s been a lot of fun building Venvue and I’m beyond excited to be where we are today. We’ve set our sites on changing the way weddings are planned and shift the paradigm in an industry we feel has been in dire need of reform for far too long.
I can go on and on about our amazing tools and what separates us from the pack, but I’d much rather show you. If you’re a wedding professional, you’ve read this far, and you want to know more about Venvue, please feel free to contact me directly by email at [email protected].
If you’re a Kansas City native, I’ll even buy you a coffee!
